패트릭 자이 사진전 “MODERN TIMES”
포토 다이어리 〈My Little Dead Dick〉이나 〈Talking Barnacles〉 등의 작품으로 국제적으로 주목받는 미국인 사진작가 패트릭 차이.
여기 일본에서도 작년부터 본격적으로 활동을 시작했습니다.
지난해 사진 신세기 2011에서 우수상을 수상했고, 올봄에는 나나로크사에서 사진집을 출판하는 등 그 활동에 기대가 모아지고 있습니다.
사진집 간행에 맞춰 패트릭 차이 사진전 ‘Modern Times’를 개최합니다.
현재 일본에서 가장 주목받는 젊은 사진가가 보내는 수수께끼로 가득 찬 중국의 세계를 즐겨주세요.

“My Little Dead Dick” and "Talking Barnacles",
photographer Patrick Tsai has finally broken into the insulated Japanese art-scene within the past year.
To coincide with the release of his upcoming photo book released by Nanarokusha,
Logos Gallery proudly presents “Modern Times”,
an exhibition about the wonders of China by one of the most upcoming photographers in Japan today.

Yosuke Yamaguchi was born in Setagaya, Tokyo where he now resides.
Graduated from Setsu Mode Seminar. He does illustrations and artworks fordomestic and overseas magazines,
CD covers and so on. He has held exhibitions at Shinjyuku Ganka garo, TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS and so on.
He is now selling reprints of his painting at 20×200 organized by Jen Beckman gallery based in New York.
"TORAFU's Small city planning”(Heibonsha) a book
which he did illustration will be published on April 2012.

미국 출신의 사진작가 패트릭 차이는 현재 도쿄에서 활동 중이다.
그 전에는 중국, 대만에서도 제작 활동을 하고 있었다.
두 포토 다이어리 시리즈 ‘My Little Dead Dick’과 ‘Talking Barnacles’로 알려져 있으며 작품은 Foam 매거진, 예일 국제 페스티벌, 사진신세기, 수전 브라이트의 Autofocus: The Self Portrait in Contemporary Photography, 팔레 드 토쿄(Palais de Tokyo) 등에서도 거론되고 있다.
Patrick Tsai, born in America, is a photographer currently living in Tokyo.
Prior to Japan, he has lived in China and Taiwan. He is most known for his two photo diary series entitled "My Little Dead Dick" and “Talking
Barnacles”.
His work has been featured in Foam, the Hyere's Festival, Canon
New Cosmos Competition,
Susan Bright's book "Autofocus: The Self Portrait in Contemporary Photography", and the Palais de Tokyo (this coming Spring).
